Tens of thousands of believers took part in festive divine services in Yekaterinburg and in the monastery on Ganina Yama on the 104th anniversary of the execution of the Royal Family, reports Patriarchia.ru.
On the night of July 17, 2022, the main event of the Royal Days, the Divine Liturgy, took place on the square in front of the lower aisle of the Church on Blood in Yekaterinburg,. The service was led by nine bishops, and communion was served from more than 100 cups.
At about three o’clock in the morning, to the anthem “God Save the Tsar!”, performed by the combined choir of the Yekaterinburg diocese, many thousands participated in the Royal cross procession, led by archpastors, which moved to the monastery of the Royal Passion-Bearers on Ganina Yama. The cross procession was attended by guests from the United States, Germany, Serbia, Ukraine, Moldova, the Baltic countries, Uzbekistan and other countries. Offering the repentant Jesus prayer, 36,000 participants of the procession walked 21 kilometers.
Upon arrival at the monastery, a prayer service was performed near the worship cross near mine No. 7, where the bodies of the members of the Romanov family and their faithful servants were destroyed. At the end of the service, Metropolitan Vikenty of Tashkent and Uzbekistan and Metropolitan Evgeny of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye thanked all the participants in the procession for their spiritual achievement.
