The Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the monastery on Saturday, reports the Orthodox Times. Metropolitans Stefanos of Kallioupolis and Madytos, Maximos of Silyvria, and Ioannis of Zambia, who is Hierarch of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, celebrated the Divine Liturgy. The faithful received Holy Communion and paid homage at Pontic Greek monument.
It is noteworthy that the Monastery opened its doors to the public in July. The monastery had remained closed for a long time due to restoration works. Only a part of it opened last year, as the area is at risk of landslides and the monastery was not safe yet.
