Requiem service for those killed in Ukraine held in the Kiev Laura of the Caves

ki1Moscow, February 21, Interfax – Chancellor of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Metropolitan of Borispol and Brovary Antony chaired a requiem service for those who were killed on the days of power confrontation in Ukraine.

“Today we gathered here to pray for those who were killed on these days. Let’s pray to the Lord so that the hostility that divided our nation stops, so that the Lord instills into people’s hearts patience and love,” Metropolitan Antony said addressing those who came to the Assumption Cathedral of the Laura.

Representatives of Kiev clergy, lecturers and students of the Kiev Theological Schools and believers attended the service, the Moscow Patriarchate website reports.

Prayers for reconciliation of the enemies have been constantly lifted up in the Laura of the Caves during the whole period of confrontation in Ukraine.
