On behalf of Archbishop Anoushavan Tanelian, President of Christian Arab and Middle Eastern Churches Together (CAMECT), and in collaboration with Metropolitan Joseph, His Excellency Bishop Gregory J. Mansour of the Maronite Church in the United States has invited the faithful to an ecumenical and interfaith prayer service for Lebanon on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. The service will be held at Our Lady of Lebanon Cathedral located at 113 Remsen Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201.

In his invitation, His Excellency wrote, “Lebanon needs and deserves our prayers…even during her civil war, St. Pope John Paul II stated that ‘Lebanon is more than a country, it is a message for East and West’. Today this vision, dream, and hope of Lebanon is in need of our help and our prayer. And so, under the Patronage of Our Lady of Lebanon, we invite you to the Maronite Cathedral, which bears her name, to pray for the Lebanese people and for the vision, dream and hope that is Lebanon!”

Those interested in attending may RSVP to Very Reverend Dominique Hanna, the Rector of Our Lady of Lebanon Cathedral at (718) 624-7228 or by email at cathrectory@verizon.net.

Since you are here…

…we do have a small request. More and more people visit Orthodoxy and the World website. However, resources for editorial are scarce. In comparison to some mass media, we do not make paid subscription. It is our deepest belief that preaching Christ for money is wrong.

Having said that, Pravmir provides daily articles from an autonomous news service, weekly wall newspaper for churches, lectorium, photos, videos, hosting and servers. Editors and translators work together towards one goal: to make our four websites possible - Pravmir.ru, Neinvalid.ru, Matrony.ru and Pravmir.com. Therefore our request for help is understandable.

For example, 5 euros a month is it a lot or little? A cup of coffee? It is not that much for a family budget, but it is a significant amount for Pravmir.

If everyone reading Pravmir could donate 5 euros a month, they would contribute greatly to our ability to spread the word of Christ, Orthodoxy, life's purpose, family and society.
