At the present time, His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, prays for a speedy end to the public confrontation in the Republic of Belarus, for the establishment of peace and trust, and for the healing of all victims, said V.R. Legoyda, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Church’s Relations with Society and Mass Media, Head of the Press Service of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, reports the official website of the Russian Orthodox Church .
According to Legoyda, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church also prays that the authorities of the Republic of Belarus and all healthy forces of the Belarusian society, who care for the welfare of the people, enter into a dialogue to overcome the tension that has arisen.
“The Patriarch is confident that the episcopate and clergy of the Belarusian Orthodox Church can play an important role in reconciliation [between the sides – Pravmir],” added V.R. Legoyda.
