On February 15, the Day of Orthodox Youth, His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, noted that young people should focus on building a family in their lives.
“It is no coincidence that the Day of Orthodox Youth coincides with the celebration of the Meeting of the Lord, because the ideal of a young life should be the creation of a family,” said His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, reports TASS news agency.
Moreover, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church added that “this, of course, is not the only ideal, not the final ideal”, because “today’s technology and today’s level of education give people an opportunity to combine the care for one’s family with professional activities as well.”
“It is crucial that our young people learn to place an important emphasis on building a family and, at the same time, to reach the heights in various areas of their lives that they are capable of, developing all the necessary and available abilities,” added the Patriarch.
