The Patriarch said the church-state relations are at a high level in Azerbaijan, noting that constructive cooperation were established between church and state power, and the facts of the transmission of Orthodox churches to Baku Diocese prove it.
“It is remarkable that the Azerbaijani legislation that is against religious extremism significantly complicates the work of the so-called Islamic institutions and other destructive sects. We have friendly relations with the Caucasian Muslims Office. Chairman of Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade hugely contributes to the Church,” he underlined.
