Moscow, August 23, Interfax - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia expressed his condolences in connection with a terrorist attack in Gaziantep that killed 50 people and injured dozens.
“It is not the first time that criminals try to spread fear among peaceful citizens, striving to impose their evil will on authorities. I am convinced that an effective response to spreading violence should be consolidated position of the state and the country’s citizens, including representatives of traditional religious communities,” the patriarch said in his telegram to Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, patriarchal press service reports on Tuesday.
The primate prays for granting courage to relatives of the victims and wished soonest recovery to the injured.
He also sent an address to Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople and expressed solidarity with him and all Turkish people.
