4 tons of products necessary for the preparation of Paschal cakes and paschas were delivered to the Svyatogorsk Holy Dormition Lavra on April 26, 2021. The Paschal set was collected by Orthodox Christians from Bukovina with the blessing of Metropolitan Meletius of Chernivtsi and Bukovina, reports Svlavra.church.ua.
Oksana (Maria) Tsyuga, the organizer of the collection and delivery of the products, gave humanitarian aid to the monastery. The Paschal set included flour, eggs, cheese, sour cream, butter, raisins, fruits, and sugar.
“Handing over humanitarian aid, Maria Tsyuga, on behalf of all Orthodox Christians of Bukovina, expressed their best wishes to the residents of Donbass for a worthy end of Lent and meeting the brightest feast day for Christians, the Resurrection of Christ,” the report said.
The abbot of the Svyatogorsk Lavra, Metropolitan Arseniy of Svyatogorsk and the brethren of the monastery, accepted the Paschal set with great gratitude to both the organizers and all participants of the charity event.
Earlier this month, on April 5, 2021, Maria Tsyuga delivered 27 tons of humanitarian aid to the monastery. Food and essentials were collected by the parishes of the Chernivtsi-Bukovina diocese for refugees from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions living in the monastery who suffered from the military conflict in the Donbass.
