“I offer my condolences on this attack, in which many people were killed […] This evil needs to be fought together,” Lavrov said at the beginning of his meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
He also said he expected the two ministers would exchange opinions on the settlement of conflicts in the region, in particular, those in Syria, Libya, Iraq, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and others, and also on issues relating to bilateral cooperation, specifically, in the trade and economic sphere.
Shoukry, for his part, said he was happy to host his Russian counterpart in Cairo and that this visit would help develop dialogue between the presidents of Egypt and Russia.
