During Lent seek God and His will. Simplify your life. Cut back on entertainments. Don’t just give up things. Take on good things. Try to concentrate on what’s most important, God and your neighbor.
With these unseen forces all around us, should we therefore stop trying to do good, to make the world better? Should we give up? Certainly not.
