“I see new dynamics in the relations between the churches emerging in the past few years, months. I hope everyone involved will continue moving in the same direction so that our interaction can become broader and closer,” Cardinal Pietro Parolin, secretary of state of the Vatican, said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday.
“As for our bilateral relations, between the Holy See and the Russian Federation, we are very happy, satisfied with the way these relations are developing, various initiatives, contacts, meetings,” the cardinal said, adding that an agreement “on visa-free travel for diplomats” had been signed earlier.
