I have been grieved to learn about the explosion at a factory in Kunshan which has resulted in numerous victims. I deeply sympathize with all the people of China, especially those who have been personally affected by the tragedy.
I am confident that the Government of the People’s Republic of China will not leave the victims without care and attention. I hope that the consequences of the disaster will be soon overcome.
I am mentally with those who are in hospitals in these hours and pray for the consolation of all those who have lost their relatives and friends.
