Dear friends and readers,
Pravmir has, from the very beginning, been a labor of love by a very small group of dedicated volunteers. We have striven to post articles of edifying content on a daily basis, including many original translations from the Russian, in addition to sharing news from throughout the Orthodox world.
Our volunteers all have full-time jobs and responsibilities that take up most of their time and energy. Finding enough hours in the day to keep the website functioning has proven to be a constant challenge.
After much thought, discussion, and prayer, we have decided to change the format of Pravmir. Rather than posting a feature article every day, as we have been doing, we will henceforward post feature articles – normally original translations from the Russian – on Sundays and major feast days only. We will, however, continue to post news items throughout the day and to post archived articles on Facebook and Twitter in accordance with the festal calendar of the Church.
We hope that this will not come as a disappointment to our many loyal readers. Given our lack of manpower, we thought it best to prioritize quality over quantity.
We remain in continuing need of your financial support. While all work on Pravmir is done on a voluntary basis, donations to Pravmir help our anonymous translator – a clergyman and monastic – to make ends meet.
In Christ yours,
The editor and staff of Pravmir.
