On 3 June 2013, after the grand meeting of the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of Greece, awards were conferred upon the members of the delegation that accompany His Holiness Patriarch Kirill during his visit to Greece.
By the decision of the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of Greece, decorated with the Gold Cross of St. Paul were Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR); Bishop Sergiy of Solnechnogorsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Administrative Secretariat; Mr. Vladimir Legoida, chairman of the Synodal Information Department; archpriest Nikolai Balashov, DECR deputy chairman;
Archpriest Andrei Milkin, head of the patriarchal protocol service; archpriest Igor Yakimchuk, DECR secretary for Inter-Orthodox relations; protodeacon Vladimir Nazarkin, assistant to the DECR chairman; and Mikhail Kuksov, head of the patriarchal personal secretariat.
