Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a message of greeting to the Bishops’ Council of the Russian Orthodox Church that’s due to get under way in Moscow later today.
The Church and the State should cooperate in settling social problems, promoting the inter-denominational and interethnic dialogue, the message says.
The Bishops’ Council, – the top body of the Russian Orthodox Church hierarchical control, is due to start work in Moscow this Saturday under the chair of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, and will remain operational until February 5th .
The Council will take up ways to elect Russian Orthodox Patriarch, the development of technologies of personal data recordkeeping, juvenile justice and ecology.
