The Orthodox Christian Leadership Initiative is pleased to announce the 6th annual Orthodox Advanced Leadership Conference on September 16-18, 2022. This year’s conference theme is “Money – The Gospel Changes Everything.” Parish leaders and emerging leaders among the clergy and laity who serve the local parish, diocese, or Orthodox nonprofits, are encouraged to attend. The Conference is hybrid, allowing up to 100 people to attend at St. Vladimir’s Seminary in Crestwood, NY, as well as unlimited online participation. Registration is open.

At the Leadership Conference there will be honest and candid discussions about money, stewardship, and how to foster gratitude with all that the Lord provides. Attendees will examine the temptations surrounding accumulation and wealth and turn to the spiritual practice of almsgiving and its place in “working out your salvation.” The focus will be on practices that cultivate generosity and contentment at every life stage, from childhood to retirement. Those who attend will be encouraged by the generosity the Lord inspires to help position yourself, family, parish, diocese, or nonprofit as a steward within the broader community.

The line-up of presentations includes several Antiochian leaders: priests Aaron Warwick speaking on “Almsgiving as Mercy Giving” and Patrick O’Grady discussing “The Tithe: A First Step in the Life of the Gospel”; Gabe Otte with the topic “Tempted by Wealth”; and Dr. Andrew Geleris on the topic “Salvific Giving:  Ministry-Centric vs. Soul-Centric Giving.”

Each challenging presentation will be followed by highly-interactive discussion questions, case studies, or small group work for all who attend online or in person. Receive the benefit of networking and fellowship across the Church to support the stewardship God has entrusted to your care!

Since you are here…

…we do have a small request. More and more people visit Orthodoxy and the World website. However, resources for editorial are scarce. In comparison to some mass media, we do not make paid subscription. It is our deepest belief that preaching Christ for money is wrong.

Having said that, Pravmir provides daily articles from an autonomous news service, weekly wall newspaper for churches, lectorium, photos, videos, hosting and servers. Editors and translators work together towards one goal: to make our four websites possible - Pravmir.ru, Neinvalid.ru, Matrony.ru and Pravmir.com. Therefore our request for help is understandable.

For example, 5 euros a month is it a lot or little? A cup of coffee? It is not that much for a family budget, but it is a significant amount for Pravmir.

If everyone reading Pravmir could donate 5 euros a month, they would contribute greatly to our ability to spread the word of Christ, Orthodoxy, life's purpose, family and society.
